Omer Count - Week 2
For the Erev Shabbat service,
Count the 11th day of the Omer to Honor the Earth
Act from awareness that everyone shares the same air.
Blessed are You, MAKER OF THE SECOND DAY, who spreads out heaven’s dome, who lovingly wraps the Earth as with a shawl, making a sky for the wisps of cloud that await reunion with the waters below. Your wind carried the seeds of wheat and barley to the hands of the first farmer, and You bring down the rain and the dew. Your Name is the sound of breathing in and breathing out. Blessed are You, BREATH OF LIFE, who gives us the air we share with all living things.
Baruch atah adonai eloheinu melech haolam asher kidshanu bemitzvotav vetzivanu al sefirat ha’omer.
This is the eleventh day, making one week and four days of the Omer.
When we breathe in and breathe out, we will remember to act from awareness that everyone shares the same air.
