Outing - Day 2This is a featured page

If your Shabbat practice permits and you are interested, please let Neil Norton know you wish to join other CBH members for Southern Bicycle League's easy 11-mile bike ride that begins from the Freight Room in Decatur at 2:00 on Saturday, April 14. (We had initially suggested joining another organization's bike ride on Sunday, but found it directly conflicted with the Yom HaShoah observance at Greenwood Cemetery.) To respond, please email nilo@mindspring.com. The ride will occur in any case, of course - but it would be nice to let Bet Haverim members know that others from our congregation will be there.

Biking is an easy fit with the habit of the week, "act from awareness that everyone shares the same air." If biking to work were as easy and popular in Atlanta as, say, in Amsterdam, the air would be far cleaner - and people would be healthier due to getting adequate exercise. Experiencing the city from a bike seat also helps us be more mindful of air quality as our lungs take in more air than usual.
